L4D2 Boycott Reaches Over 30,000!

"The Left 4 Dead 2 Boycott is a group of individuals who have pledged to boycott Valve's upcoming release of Left 4 Dead 2 on November 17th, 2009. We have assembled a manifesto outlining the basic concensus of many members of our community."

The Group has hit an outstanding 30,000 members in only a short time, and is starting to raise valid points.

"-That Left 4 Dead 2 not be released as a stand-alone, full-priced sequel but as either a free update to Left 4 Dead or an expansion with full compatibility with basic Left 4 Dead owners."

I do believe the game should not be made free, but at least an expansion integrated with the first L4d so that the community is still kept together and makes life easy.(So you don't have to switch between games to play different content, I'm looking at you ROCKBAND!)

Well, what about Xbox 360 owners? Do you know how much space this would take if it came out as DLC for the 360, especially for those with a 20 GB system? Fuck people are stupid.

lol, I think the same thing but when I post a comment like this, I get all negative responses. It's common sense, really. Valve's a company. Companies want to make money. They're offering a new entry in the L4D series with new maps, characters, weapons and gameplay yet people are petitioning that it's not fair? 30,000 people have absolutely no clue about supply and demand.

Perhaps you have no clue about supply and demand. It seems with this outrage there is little to no demand, no?

personally i think L4d is a very short game and there is no acceptance of any user of getting another uncompleted game as L4D was, valve seems to think a la EA with madden, trying to make huge amount of money for what should be considered updates.

i'm very dissapointed with them using their time on such crap and not expending it with half life2 episode 3.

Basically you would be paying $60 for a mod.
L4d2 is a modded version of L4d
L4d is a modded version of CS
and CS is a modded version of Half-life.
Now, L4d I can understand, but making practically the exact same game in 1 year and pretty much adding beautified versions of PC mods and charging $60?
What was the point of buying L4d if in one year they made L4d2?
